$0.43 Refill for Your All Purpose Cleaning Bottle! [VIDEO]

Today, I'm excited to share a homemade all-purpose cleaner recipe that not only effectively cleans your home but also cares for the environment and your health. This easy-to-make, eco-conscious cleaner utilizes simple, natural ingredients to create a powerful cleaning solution that you can feel good about.

Why Make Your Own Cleaner?

Creating your own cleaning products allows you to control the ingredients, reducing the exposure to harsh chemicals commonly found in commercial cleaners. It’s not only better for your health but also kinder to our planet. Plus, it can be more cost-effective in the long run!

Total Investment $53.73

That amount of Coco Glucoside makes 8 Batches! Each batch costs around $7 each and yields 16 1oz concentrated servings for 16 spray bottle uses. $7/16 bottles = $0.43 per bottle, and you can do that 8 times with the all the product!!

What You’ll Need:

  • 16 oz Distilled Water: You can pick this up at the grocery store. Using distilled water helps prevent the buildup of minerals on surfaces and ensures that your cleaner remains effective and free of contaminants.
  • 2.65 oz Citric Acid: (Product Link) A natural antibacterial agent, citric acid effectively breaks down grease, soap scum, and hard water stains, leaving surfaces sparkling clean.
  • 12 oz Coco Glucoside:  (Product Link) This gentle yet effective surfactant derived from coconut adds a foaming action that enhances the cleaning process without harming your skin or the environment.
  • 70-100 Drops of Essential or Fragrance Oil: (Product Link)  Customize the scent of your cleaner with essential oils for additional antibacterial properties and a pleasant aroma. Choose from lavender, lemon, eucalyptus, or any fragrance that suits your mood and needs.

 Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Mix the Citric Acid and Distilled Water: In a small/medium pot, bring to a simmer the distilled water, dissolve the citric acid in the distilled water. Stir until completely dissolved. Pour into a large measuring cup or bowl.
  2. Add Coco Glucoside: Slowly mix in the coco glucoside to the citric acid solution. Stir gently to blend well. Try not to create bubbles!
  3. Incorporate the Essential Oils: Add the essential or fragrance oils drop by drop, mixing thoroughly after each addition. This not only scents your cleaner but can also boost its antibacterial power.
  4. Transfer to a Spray Bottle: Pour the mixture into a spray bottle using a funnel to avoid spills. Your all-purpose cleaner is now ready to use!
  5. Label Your Bottle: Don’t forget to label your cleaner with the ingredients and the date it was made. This is especially important if you’re experimenting with different scents or concentrations.

How to Use Your Homemade Cleaner:

Spray directly onto any surface that needs cleaning—kitchen counters, bathroom tiles, windows, and more. Wipe with a clean cloth or sponge. For tougher stains, let the cleaner sit for a few minutes before wiping.

Benefits of Your DIY Cleaner:

  • Safe and Effective: This cleaner effectively tackles dirt, grime, and bacteria, without the harmful side effects of chemical-based cleaners.
  • Eco-Friendly: By using biodegradable and natural ingredients, you’re helping to reduce environmental pollution.
  • Customizable: The choice of essential oils means you can customize the cleaner to suit your aromatic preferences and benefit from different therapeutic properties.

We hope you enjoy making and using this natural multipurpose cleaner as much as we do. It's a small step towards a healthier home and a cleaner planet. Happy cleaning!
